Knife case for collectors: pick by count

  • Knife Case 230: 7 folders up to 4.75 inches closed, one foam insert, IP67 waterproof. 11.9 × 8.5 × 4.8 inches outside.
  • Knife Case 331: 13 knives, 8 in the base and 5 on a removable top tray. Remove a foam insert to open a top slot to 5.5 inches.
  • Knife Case 710: 32 knives on two lift-out foam trays, 16 per tray. 16 of the slots expand to 5.5 inches. IP67 seal with a pressure valve.
  • 331 with vertical slots: stands 8 knives upright in 0.82 × 5.5-inch slots under a removable top tray.

Pocket knife display case

A drawer of loose knives scratches handles and hides half the collection. A display tray fixes both: every knife lies in its own foam slot, and you see the whole rotation when the lid opens. Knife roll alternative for folding knives

A roll packs flat, but knives inside it press against each other. Foam slots keep every knife apart, and a hard shell won't fold under a heavy bag. These cases are cut for folders up to 5.5 inches closed. They are not chef knife cases: a full-size kitchen knife won't fit the pre-cut slots. What knives fit these knife cases?
They are cut for folding knives. The Knife Case 230 fits folders up to 4.75 inches closed. The Knife Case 331 and the 710 take folders up to 5.5 inches closed in their longer slots. Measure the knife closed, end to end.
Which knife case is best for a collector?
Count your knives and leave room to grow: 7 in the 230, 13 in the 331, 32 in the 710. To show the collection, the 331's removable top tray and the 710's two lift-out trays hold knives flat for display.
Is it a pocket knife display case or a travel case?
Both. Open, the foam trays lay the collection out for display. Closed, the hard shell and latches protect it in storage or on the way to a knife show. The 230 and 710 are rated IP67 waterproof, and the 710 has a pressure valve so it opens easily after a flight.
Will a chef knife fit?
Not in the pre-cut slots. They are sized for folding knives up to 5.5 inches closed, and a full-size chef knife is longer. If you are shopping for a cook, the Evergreen 8-inch chef knife comes in its own magnetic-lid gift box with a sharpener.
Is a hard knife case better than a knife roll?
A knife roll packs flat, but knives inside it press against each other. In a foam-slot case every knife sits in its own slot, so handles and finishes don't rub, and the hard shell resists crushing.
